We’ve recreated this texture traditionally reserved for luxury goods, in the form of melamine-faced panels.

What PS01 achieves is the application of deep embossing surface treatment technology—which seemed impossible to achieve on melamine-faced panels to life. PS01 poses a question: Must leather grain be flat? The leather-weave pattern was born, it possesses the texture of leather and the breathability of fabric; it offers the luxury of leather goods without their closed-off feel or heaviness.

PS01 has also undertaken bold technical exploration in terms of texture depth. Unlike the smooth tactile feel pursued by PZ02, PS01 employs a more expressive deep embossing texture, trading physical depth for tactile richness and visual layering.

Spaces need a sense of rhythm
The weave pattern of the leather-weave texture is precisely regular and repetitive. Each leather strip is of uniform width, woven at a constant angle, and the spacing between intersection points is equal. 

The division and rhythm created by this weave pattern result in a visually lighter appearance. In spatial design, this sense of lightness means it can be used over larger areas without appearing oppressive.

1. Strong Visual Aesthetics
The width, weaving angle, and overlapping sequence of each leather strip are meticulously designed. The deep embossing process preserves the shadows along the edges of the leather strips, enhancing the 3D effect.

The challenge with deep embossing is that the deeper the texture, the more prone the panel is to warping or cracking. The PS01 ensures structural stability through a custom small-chips substrate (SOSB) and precise temperature control during the pressing process. Deep embossing can easily give the impression of plastic. PS01 uses a matte finish and color blending to reduce the brightness of the embossing, making the texture appear natural and lifelike.
