1.What is resistance to cracking?
The resistance to cracking test evaluates the ability of the board’s decorative surface layer to resist crack formation under dry or temperature-changing environments. Typically, specimens are placed under specified conditions (e.g., a high‑temperature drying oven) and then examined for fine cracks or crazing.
The higher the grade, the better the stress matching between the decorative layer and the substrate, and the less likely it is to crack due to dryness or aging. This index is especially critical for furniture used in northern heated rooms, areas directly blown by air conditioners, or long‑term low‑humidity environments.

National standard requirement: ≥ Grade 4.

1.What is resistance to vapor?
The test method directs boiling water vapor continuously onto the board surface for a specified period, simulating scenarios such as kitchen steam, bathroom hot water vapor, or humid air from a nearby humidifier. The surface is then examined for blistering, softening, delamination, or discoloration.
The higher the grade, the better the board’s stability in humid and hot environments. This index is particularly important for kitchen cabinets, bathroom vanities, and furniture near sinks or steam ovens.
