China's first 3D deep-textured surface laminating line empowers high-end decorative panels, with formaldehyde emission as low as 0.012 mg/m³

In the field of contemporary interior design and furniture manufacturing, decorative panels are undergoing a profound transformation from “flat printing” to “three-dimensional touch.”

As a professional brand that has been deeply engaged in the interior decorative panel field for nearly two decades, Yakco is driven by independent innovation and relies on China's first fully automatic melamine 3D deep-textured surface laminating line.

It has launched a diverse series of 3D deep-textured melamine-faced panel products covering stone grain, wood grain, leather grain, and more, providing surface solutions that combine realistic texture, environmental performance, and stable quality for high-end residential, commercial spaces, and custom furniture.

3D Synchronized Texture Technology: Making Every Panel “Visible and Touchable”

Traditional melamine-faced panels have long been constrained by the disconnect between surface texture and printed pattern—what the eye sees is wood or stone grain, but what the finger feels is a smooth, flat paper surface.

By introducing and independently optimizing Embossed-in-Register (EIR) technology, Yakco has achieved precise alignment between the surface embossed structure and the decorative paper pattern, enabling details such as wood vessels and growth rings, and stone cracks and mineral particles, to be highly unified in both visual and tactile dimensions.

In 2018, Yakco cooperated with other company to develop a 4'×11' fully automatic 3D deep-textured melamine surface laminating line. It fully realized functions such as automatic multi-layer paper laying, double-sided precise synchronized registration, fully automatic variable-format pressure control, and fully automatic multi-edge chamfering of panels.

It is China's first truly deep-textured laminating equipment.

The line has successfully achieved a texture depth of 0.8 mm, far exceeding conventional industry levels, and can produce more than 100 types of 3D deep-textured surfaces, including wood grain, stone grain, fabric grain, leather grain, carbon-burnt grain, and geometric three-dimensional patterns.

Inheriting the essence of German craftsmanship, Yakco was among the first to develop 3D panels with a depth of more than 50 silk (0.5 mm) as early as 2015, entering the European market with three-dimensional textures and realistic touch.

In 2017, its artistic decorative materials gained wide recognition from EU design institutions.

In 2020, relying on its overseas reputation and international design resources, the brand began to expand into the domestic Chinese market and reached strategic cooperation with well-known design institutions such as Shenzhen CCD and Hong Kong JR.

Environmental Performance: Formaldehyde Emission as Low as 0.012 mg/m³

As consumers' attention to indoor air quality continues to rise, environmental performance has become a core consideration in the selection of decorative panel materials.

Yakco melamine-faced panels adopt MDI eco-adhesive technology to control the release of harmful substances at the source, with formaldehyde emission as low as 0.012 mg/m³.

This figure is far superior to the ENF grade (≤0.025 mg/m³) requirement in the national standard GB/T 39600-2021, and significantly lower than the E0 grade limit (≤0.050 mg/m³).

Low formaldehyde emission not only provides compliance assurance but is also directly related to residents' health experience.

Yakco low-odor eco-friendly decorative panels are particularly suitable for spaces with high air quality requirements, such as residential interiors, bedrooms, children's rooms, apartments, hotels, and office environments.

Surface Performance: Durable Quality Verified by Authoritative Testing

The value of decorative panels lies not only in appearance but also in durability during daily use. Yakco's surface-decorated particleboard platform has been evaluated through a test report (No. 25-0494) issued by the Wood and Wood Products Testing Center of Nanjing Forestry University.

The tests cover multiple surface performance indicators, including high-low temperature cycling, surface scratching, surface abrasion, cigarette burn, dry heat, surface contamination, cracking, and steam.

Test results show that Yakco decorative panels achieved a measured abrasion value of 57 mg/100r (limit ≤80 mg/100r), passed the surface scratch test at 1.50 N, received a Grade 5 rating for dry heat, cracking, and steam resistance, and a Grade 4 rating for cigarette burn and surface contamination resistance.

These data provide reliable technical endorsement for the long-term use of Yakco decorative panels in high-end furniture manufacturing and interior decoration.

Diverse Product Series: Full-Scenario Coverage from Stone Grain to Wood Grain

Yakco melamine-faced panels have formed a complete product matrix covering the aesthetics of multiple materials.

In the stone grain series, products are inspired by natural mineral textures such as marble, granite, slate, travertine, and sandstone.

Through deep embossing, they enhance the three-dimensionality and light-and-shadow layers of the patterns, making them suitable for cabinet doors, wall decoration, commercial spaces, and other scenarios.

In the wood grain series, products represented by synchronized elm texture panels use high-precision synchronized embossing technology to accurately reproduce the growth rings, vessels, and organic texture variations of natural elm, presenting a real wood grain experience of “what you see is what you feel.”

In addition, the brand has launched a leather design series of panels inspired by cowhide textures, further expanding the tactile boundaries of decorative materials.

Yakco decorative panels can be adapted to various substrates such as LSB, OSB, MDF, HMR MDF, particleboard, and fire-retardant MDF, meeting the differentiated needs of different application scenarios for structural stability and functionality.

Compared with natural stone and real wood veneer, Yakco decorative panels maintain a highly realistic visual effect while offering comprehensive advantages such as controllable color difference, convenient installation, simple maintenance, and better cost-effectiveness.

Market Prospects: The Decorative Panel Industry Ushers in Structural Growth Opportunities

Yakco's product layout for melamine-faced panels coincides with a window of industry growth.

According to IndexBox research data, under the baseline scenario, the global melamine-faced panel market is expected to have a CAGR of 5.8% from 2026 to 2035, with the market index reaching about 158 by 2035 (2025 = 100).

QYResearch statistics show that global melamine decorative board sales reached USD 2.038 billion in 2025 and are expected to grow to USD 2.798 billion by 2032, with a CAGR of 4.7%.

The market growth is mainly driven by the continued expansion of the construction and furniture industries, especially in residential and commercial applications. At the same time, the industry is showing increasing attention to sustainable development and low-formaldehyde-emission materials.

Yakco's dual layout in 3D deep-texture technology and environmental performance has placed it in an advantageous position in this round of industry upgrading.

Looking ahead, Yakco New Materials will continue to deepen innovation in 3D texture technology, and with richer product series and stricter environmental standards, provide furniture manufacturers, interior designers, and end users worldwide with surface solutions that combine aesthetic value and practical performance.
