Homestays, vacation rentals, short‑term apartments– these spaces are used much more intensively than ordinary residences.

Suitcase wheels bumping into corners, trekking poles scraping against walls, wet swimsuits draped over cabinet doors, red wine spilled on tables, children scribbling on wood grain walls… every check‑in cycle is a “stress test”.

About Tech:yakco technology

Owners need to find a balance between a “naturally warm atmosphere” and “durability for high‑frequency use”.

YAKCO 3D Embossed Wood Panel proves that it can handle the high‑intensity use environment of homestay spaces, while creating a natural theme atmosphere of mountains, forests, countryside, etc., with its realistic wood grain tactile feel.

1.
Internal bond 0.36 MPa: Impacts from suitcases and trekking poles do not cause internal cracking

Test item: Internal bond

National standard requirement: ≥0.35 MPa

YAKCO tested value: 0.37 MPa (higher than the standard)

In homestays, guests bring hard suitcases, trekking poles, camping gear, children’s scooters, etc., inevitably bumping into corners, wall cladding, and cabinets.

Internal bond reflects the adhesion strength between the wood particles and the adhesive inside the substrate.

0.37 MPa means that even with local impacts, no micro‑cracks or delamination will occur inside the substrate, and the decorative layer will not blister or dent as a result.

Compared to ordinary particleboard (internal bond often around 0.35 MPa), YAKCO’s 0.37 MPa may seem only 0.01 higher, but in repeated impact scenarios, this extra margin means longer fatigue life. Homestay owners do not need to repair “dents” on walls every quarter.

2.
Resistance to surface staining Grade 4: Red wine, coffee, sunscreen– wipe clean in one go

Test item: Resistance to surface staining

National standard requirement: ≥ Grade 5

YAKCO tested value: Grade 5 – Pass

The most common stains in vacation rentals: red wine, coffee, juice, sunscreen, insect repellent, food oil stains.

Grade 5 means that after these contaminants are spilled or smeared, they can be wiped clean with a damp cloth– no staining, no residue.

Do the textured grooves of 3D embossed wood texture trap dirt easily?

YAKCO’s Grade 4 result gives the answer: the dense melamine resin overlay extends into the textured recesses, so liquids cannot penetrate. During room turnover, cleaning staff need no special detergents – a damp cloth restores cleanliness, greatly shortening turnaround time.

3.
Surface wear value 57 mg/100r: Wet swimsuits draped, backpack friction– no wearing out

Test item: Resistance to surface wearing (benchmarked against plain colour board)

National standard requirement: No show‑through after 350 rotations, wear value ≤80 mg/100r

YAKCO tested value: No show‑through after 350 rotations, wear value only 35 mg/100r

In homestays, wet swimsuits and wet towels are often draped directly over cabinet doors or chair backs; nylon straps and metal buckles of backpacks rub repeatedly against walls; pet leashes scrape across wall cladding.

A wear value of 35 mg/100r means that even with daily friction, after many years the embossed wood grain texture remains clear, the tactile ridges are not “worn flat”, and the colour does not fade. For homestays with an annual occupancy rate above 80%, this performance guarantees long‑term visual quality of walls and cabinets.

4.
Resistance to surface scratching 1.5N: Keys, zippers, small stones on shoe soles do not cause “disfigurement”

Test item: Resistance to surface scratching

National standard requirement: ≥1.5N load, the surface without more than 90% continuous scratch

YAKCO tested value: 1.5N– Pass

A guest’s key scratching across a tabletop, a denim jacket’s metal zipper rubbing against a door panel, small stones stuck in shoe soles scraping along a corridor wall– these everyday scratches leave obvious white lines on ordinary decorative panels.

A tolerance of 1.5N means that the surface of YAKCO’s 3D embossed wood panel will show only extremely slight and discontinuous marks. The natural pattern of the wood itself also has a camouflaging effect– fine scratches blend into the annual rings and are almost invisible.

5.
Typical application scenarios

1.Entryway wall cladding-Suitcase impacts, umbrella moisture

Yakco: Internal bond 0.36 MPa (impact resistant) + resistance to vapor Grade 5

2.Living room TV feature wall-Children touching, snack grease

Yakco: Stain resistance Grade 4 – easy to clean

3.Bedroom wardrobe door-Clothing zipper scratches, wet clothes draped

Yakco: Scratch resistance 1.5N + wear 57 mg/100r

4.Dining tabletop-Red wine, hot soup, knife and fork scratches

Yakco: Stain resistance Grade 4 + resistance to dry heat Grade 5

5.Corridor wall-Trekking pole and backpack friction

Yakco: Excellent wear resistance + scratch resistance

Conclusion: Give every guest a “first‑time” experience

The core goal of homestay owners is that after every room turnover cleaning, the walls and cabinets can be restored to a nearly new state, giving the next guests a “first‑time” wonderful experience.

YAKCO 3D Embossed Wood Panel helps owners achieve this goal with the data of internal bond 0.36 MPa, stain resistance Grade 4, wear 57 mg/100r, and scratch resistance 1.5N – no frequent renovations needed, only daily cleaning, and the wood grain texture remains like new.
